This is one I hadn't see before. A Bee Fly, something in the family Bombyliidae. Buzzed just like a bee but has a long proboscis like a mosquito and was feasting on this lantana.

This guy with incredible stripes was all over my basil flowers at the same time.

@leftylogan that banded one on the Basil looks like a Blue Banded Bee that we get here Down Under.

The carpenter bees have been active on the beans and tomatoes. The honey bees prefer the coriander. Note the pink pollen on the bees. Wonder if the cilantro has pink pollen?
