The first 'Perfume Delight' rose is blooming. Oh, the heavenly scent! Three days ago it was a tight bud and the very next day it had opened up.

Then today the first two bearded iris blooms appeared. They were planted long ago and I have forgotten the name.

Oh wow. Those are gorgeous. I had my first crocus come up yesterday and a rabbit or deer ate the last night. Sigh.

They are indeed lovely! My neighbor's daffodils have started blooming. Hopefully I'll be seeing dandelions and wood violets in my grass soon. They're the first food for the flying pandas, aka bumblebees, and Mason bees upon coming out of hibernation.
Come gather 'round people / Wherever you roam / And admit that the waters

Around you have grown / And accept it that soon / You'll be drenched to the bone

If your time to you is worth savin'/ And you better start swimmin' / Or you'll sink like a stone

For the times they are a-changin' / Bob Dylan
