Re: Everything But The Kitchen Sink Swap
It took only 3 days for the EBTKS box to travel all the way across the country! And it is still a jam-packed large priority-mail box. I will look through it for the next day and then send it off Monday morning to @Old chef.

I squeezed as much air out of the large zip baggies, as I could without crushing anything, before sealing them. It made a large difference in how much that I could include.
I'll have to get the next address for Old chef.

Re: Everything But The Kitchen Sink Swap
I did that, and I was surprised that I had space left over. When I took it to the post office, I learned that I had picked up a large priority mailing box, not a large **flat rate!!!** priority mailing box. The cost was $20 more, so I picked up the correct box, took it home, unpacked and repacked (taping all the edges again), and went back to the post office. It still went out today, as promised, though it went out later in the day than I had planned.
The flat rate box is smaller....and I did have to squeeze even more air out of the baggies to make everything fit!
It's been years since I participated in anything like this swap -- especially with such a large box! -- and it was so much fun!
The hardest part was setting aside time in the middle of tomato-planting weather, and laying claim to the whole table while I was going through the box.
