Stargate SG1
First season there are some not bad episodes, but the writing just gets better and better from season 2 and onward. I'm on season 4. Imo the writing quality is mostly better than Star Trek. Also better humors, Jack O'Neill is hilarious.

I started watching the 2010 version of True Grit again.
I think it's a much better version than the John Wayne one which I liked also.
It's too bad neither one was filmed in the area I was raised up in Oklahoma next to Arkansas.
I literally lived on and in the winding stair mountains mentioned in the movie.
Seen Judge Parkers hanging gallows and everything in Fort Smith several times.

Seen Pearl Stars house of ill reput as well.
Pearl was the daughter of Bell Star.
