All my cucumber varieties this year are new to me, I have always been fans of the Israeli cucumber "Bet Alpha", an incredible flavor, but it had too many seeds for my taste.
All the cucumbers grown this season are new to me, first of all I wanted to have "sweet success" because of your good comments about this cucumber, but it was impossible for me since I couldn't find any seed bank to send them to Europe , but thanks to you Marsha, I was able to have this cucumber. Thanks as always Marsha for your kindness.
 The rest of the cucumber seeds were given to me by my friend Anneliese from Germany, as always a good and generous person. I think they all come from Italy and Germany, right now I have them small, I think that in a month or so I will be able to send you some photos, my cucumbers this year are:
-sweet success

-field cucumber (German, f1, hybrid, 35cm.)

-lungo verde degli ortolani (Italian, variety of late cycle that produces fruits of medium length, cylindrical and green in color.

- sensation (Italian, early and strong production. very fresh and pleasant flavor, long dark green color and tasty)

-viridis (Italian, f1 hybrid, semi-late variety. Vigorous, productive plant with long, cylindrical fruits. Dark green skin

-Qualitas (I think Aleman, vigorous growing variety with early lateral shoots and numerous. Cylindrical fruits with small nucleus and firm pulp. Resistant to scab, excellent for cold pictures)

-sakamari (Italian, hybrid, f1, Semi-early variety. Vigorous and very productive plant, with abundant foliage and fruits, semi-long dark green cylindrical, with hardly any spines and intense flavor

-Montebello (hybrid, f1, early variety, very productive, dark colored cylindrical stems with light spines, 18 to 22 centimeters.

Thank you for these great descriptions. I will love to hear your thoughts on their taste and growth when you have had a chance to eat each type.

I have so many of these gorgeous cucumbers, and we are harvesting 3 to 6 per day. I donated these to the nurses at the local hospital yesterday. They deserve it. I hope others will consider doing that with some of their extra produce. Taurus F1.

Marsha, I noticed you wrote that you only grew 3 cukes. Is there a particular reason for 3 instead of 4 like the EB manual suggests? I'll be planting 2 EBs tomorrow but 4 seems to be a bit crowded. I'm going to try 2 different pruning methods but either way it might be tight.

Yesterday I tried my first "sweet success" f1 cucumber for the first time, it has an incredible flavor, I could eat it with the skin and not bitter, it is very fresh in the mouth and delicious, my children loved it, it was my cucumber earlier than ever I have grown, it is also very resistant to diseases at the moment, it is very healthy, for me it is incredible that at these early dates I can enjoy cucumber, it will surely come back to me for many years

Nico, its a beauty! Next year you have to try Taurus F1. I cant get over it. Best cucumber I ever tasted, so sweet and crunchy, and we eat the skin, and it's seedless. Can you tell I'm in love? Seeds are a lot cheaper than Sweet Success too.

The Taurus F1 is a Japanese cuke from what I've read & it sure looks typical of one. I grow Japanese ones exclusively for the very reasons you mentioned-the taste, crunchiness, thin skin etc. Most cuke seeds for sale in Japan are hybrids & there are new ones yearly. But they all taste the same to me: delicious. I buy some @ Daiso there, the dollar store. 2 packets for a dollar, hybrids!
Unfortunately I've not been able to grow any for the past few years due to spider mites but I'm hoping the EBs will give them a jump start to produce before the mites appear. I'll be blasting w water daily.

Thanks for clarifying, I thought it strange for even just 3 to a box cuz yes they can get wide besides tall. Even with pruning. Okay I'll adjust my plans Marsha glad I asked you!
