Aspirin water spray

I've never seen this mentioned, but I heard this year that dissolving a regular non-coated aspirin in a gallon of water will do good things for your tomatoes and other veggies. You spray the aspirin water on the leaves, top and bottom. Supposedly it triggers a defense mechanism and helps the plants grow better.

I've been trying it this year and am having what may be a banner year.

Anyone else doing this?

Glad it's working for you,but I tried it last season, and it didn't work at all. I tried it as a prophylactic, before anything showed up, and still had septoria leaf spot on every plant, due to the rain. Potassium bicarbonate works better, but still not like copper.

Yes been doing the "aspirin spray" for years with good results. 600mg. of un-coated aspirin in gallon of water and spray tomato leaves after they are about a month old and all ready in their growing places. I don't do this on seedlings!!

do it on seedlings to give them a good head start.

Forgot to mention that you need to aply every 2-3 weeks.
