Mountain Rouge
Anyone growing Mount Rouge tomato this year? It is another Randy G. Gardner introduction and is the F1 hybrid of NC 161L × ‘Pink Brandywine’. It is an AAS selection that was initiated to develop a superior heirloom-type, pink-fruited tomato hybrid with improved fruit quality and late blight resistance.
It is a cross between a Pink Brandywine and Gardner's NC 161L (which has Celebrity II and Momotaro in it's lineage).
It is doing well for me this year. I am excited to try and see how the taste will be. Here are a couple of pictures of the plant and a tomato.
