Re: RIP Remy Rotella
Thank you for letting us know, Marsha. I loved her site and although I didn’t grow Stump of the a world this year, it has been added to the 2021 list in special tribute. May she Rest In Peace. A sad loss indeed.

Would you like to join us in an honor grow out next season of Stump of the World, her favorite tomato?

Re: RIP Remy Rotella
I will be saving Stump of the World seeds to spread around and I would guess that Marsha will too. There should be plenty of Stump seeds this year to go around for anyone who would like to join us in this tribute to Remy.

Thats so nice of you. I should have some by late January, if my seeds from 2013 germinate.

Re: RIP Remy Rotella
Oh no! That is terrible. Too much loss in this small community over the past few years.
I was just attempting to catalog my seed stash over the weekend and came across a few Sample Seed Shop packets. So sorry but at least she is at peace now.
I've never grown Stump but it's on my list of maybes for next year. I will add it to the yes list, and would be very happy to participate in the group grow-out. Please add me, and thank you for letting us know.

Re: RIP Remy Rotella
I'm sorry to hear of Remy's passing. I didn't know her but read on TV about Santa Maria tomato that she introduced. I was going to buy some from her next spring.

Carolyn and now Remy, two amazing women from upstate New York.
Remy didn't post as often, but I felt closer to her as a gardener than anyone else I've met online. We both were likely members of the 1,000 variety tomato club, with Stump of the World as her #1 favorite, and my #2 favorite. Then came beans as our second favorite veggie, and anything else in the garden was not a priority.
Rare is the person that I've wept for that I've never met in the flesh. Celebrities that I see or hear about, I cannot relate to their lives. Remy I could.
