Red vein sorrel. They take a long time to get off seedling stage, but they are pretty hardy afterward.Shule wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2020 9:00 pmThat sorrel looks awesome. Which species is it?maxjohnson wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 5:23 pm This was not expected. I'm not eating these sorrels, but seems ideal as border plants for landscaping.

Re: columbus garden 2020
Had a freeze this morning, so it's almost end of tomato season.
The plant that produces the most later in the season while the other beefsteak plants are dying is Orange Russian 117.
A couple fruits almost reaches 2lbs.

We had two nights of frost last week as well. Still my couple of outdoor plants weren't killed and I did salvage a few tomatoes that are looking okay.
Are you planning to grow anything indoors during the winter?

Re: columbus garden 2020
I found a new 'career' of sort that I do at home after being furloughed earlier this year, which pretty much consume my entire existence for now, so I've been neglecting gardening. But I will grow some mammoth basil in the Aerogarden as usual, and some Pico Gato microdwarf.

Re: columbus garden 2020
Haven't been out in the garden for 2 weeks, and this came out of no where, it must have grown very fast. My first proper large cauliflower head.
The Orange Russian 117 was very prolific.
Also still have kohlrabi and celery, they can probably last till Christmas. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

That cauliflower is a beaut! So nice to go out in the off season and find something fit to eat - well in this case, totally primo!
