Re: 2021 seed catalogs
TGS was my first 2021 catalog also. I did put an order in early November and received it 2 days later.
I've received some emails that catalogues are on their way and looked at some online.

Re: 2021 seed catalogs
Yesterday Vermont Bean came and today Tomato Growers Supply arrived. I checked my calendar from last year and both Pinetree and TGS are about 2 weeks earlier than last year. Baker Creek came Dec 3 so we'll see if it comes earlier this year too.

Re: 2021 seed catalogs
By the time I received my first catalogs I had already been looking at seed supplier's websites and had my wish lists created.
I ordered and received my 2021 seeds from Pinetree, Burpee, Johnny's, Baker Creek, Diane's Flower Seeds already. This is the earliest that I've ever ordered seeds. Looking forward to my 2021 garden!!!

Re: 2021 seed catalogs
Seeds 'N Such came yesterday. I've already ordered from Pinetree and Bunny Hop. And yeah, this is the earliest I've ever put in seed orders. I go online to check things out but I still love and prefer having a catalog arrive in the mailbox (kind of like Ralphie waiting on that secret decoder ring in Christmas Story) and then curling up in the recliner to peruse at leisure, makes notes, etc. I can carry it out to the garden if I want and if I drop it, it doesn't break.

Re: 2021 seed catalogs
Osborne seeds has several new "hybrid heirloom" tomato varieties. I am sure these get labelled as heirlooms wherever they are sold.

Re: 2021 seed catalogs
I've seen some of those "hybrid heirlooms", too! I wondered, are they 2 heirlooms crossed, or what?! Or just a hybrid that has been around for countless years?
I already got my Pinetree and Seedman orders, and have that Bunnyhop order in last night. Very few other things I need now. I wanted to get my orders in early, considering the increased interest in gardening, though most of the seeds I buy are not the most popular!
A couple catalogs I got and checked out I really didn't see much of interest, as far as new seeds.

I got my commercial one in August only to find out they closed the doors in Oct. talk about a shock. I have no idea where I will get my seeds for huge amounts. I am not a home gardener size of seed packet. I grow 400 flats to sell. anyone have a commercial catalog or supplier they shop out of? let me know.

Re: 2021 seed catalogs
Osborne, High Mowing Seeds and Johnny's all sell large quantities. I'm looking at a listing in HM and they have up to 5000 for tomato seeds.Clkeiper wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 7:18 am I got my commercial one in August only to find out they closed the doors in Oct. talk about a shock. Osborne has up to 25K for tomato seeds.
There are more companies because I was looking for a tomato seed but didn't want 500 (minimum).

Re: 2021 seed catalogs
Here's one I get every year, that is mainly for commercial sales. I made an order for a few things several years ago, only because there was a variety I found nowhere else, and I keep getting the catalog! Just got it a week ago.Clkeiper wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 7:18 am I got my commercial one in August only to find out they closed the doors in Oct. talk about a shock. I LOVE the Fedco catalog! It is an employee owned Co Op with a great sense of humor.

Re: 2021 seed catalogs
Selection is not the greatest, but I always recommend morgan county seed for great bulk prices on common varieties like big beef.Clkeiper wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 7:18 am I got my commercial one in August only to find out they closed the doors in Oct. talk about a shock.
