Shade Screens

As you know, Texas is HOT in summer, and toms often benefit from some sun protection. I'd like to get some shade screens to put up over my raised beds, and I'm thinking 40% would be about right. Would that be enough? Can anyone recommend a source? Any tips or essential knowledge y'all can pass on?

Hi I'm here in Southern California it gets Hot here also over a hundred degrees for many days in the summertime
I have the 40% sunscreen that I use over my tomatoes
I have them set up on a wire system so I can slide them over the tomato plants based on the weather
I got mine from Amazon, I had to replace one after three years smog heat etc the other one's still good

I bought mine many years ago from Greenhousemegastore and they are still perfect. I had it over raised bed for broccoli and In late March of 2018 we had a hail store (very rare) and all the houses around me got new roofs but my old shade cloth was unscatheed.

I also have a lot of the rolls which I will use for lettuce in the summer. I think they are about 70%. I cut one and use over the aeration screens in Earthboxes so the mix doesn't fall into the reservoir. Every year the roots go through and I pressure wash them and they too are still perfect and don't fray

I use tennis court privacy screening. This goes under the plastic on the inside of the greenhouse and stays on year round. I'd guess this provides 60% or more blockage. The material is indestructable and has lasted over 20 years.
