New from Ohio
Hello! I found this group after joining Tomatoville only to see that it's in the process of being changed or closed down
. I'm new to the message boards, but not new to heirloom gardening. I have a Biology degree and have been growing and saving seeds since 1990. My personal collection includes old Soviet varieties that I brought back with me in 1991 and many other E. European varieties that I've accumulated over the years. It's a special interest of mine because our family is Slavic. I also have an interest in natural nutrition and like to grow out varieties known to be high in anti-oxidants and/or other nutrients. Anyway, that's a little about me and I look forward to participating in this forum.

Debbie

Re: New from Ohio
Debbie,
Welcome to the forum. I have some Slavic background on my mother's side and Slovak on my Dad's. We have a number of members from Europe here and expect to attract more. And I am also interested in what you are growing and hopefully a list of E. European varieties that you have seeds for.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter, that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Oh, welcome! Carolyn Male would have to loved to talk to you. It sounds like you might have a few real treasures to share. I am sorry you missed her at TV. We will carry on for her here as well.
