Did anyone ask about Big Marley yet? I'm assuming it isn't a cherry... but who knows.

Nope, nope, nope. Did the search. Found a couple references to the world's largest tomatoes, and a bunch of stuff that was extremely explicit with no tomatoes involved (at least I hope they weren't). No description given for Big Marley.

I'm still working on getting the details, but it appears to be a cross between a 7.10 pounder and an 8.22 pounder.

Saraev Suetlaplodni

Saraev Svetloplodnye was my submission. "Svetloplodnye" translates to light-fruited and it's one of the cold tolerant selections of Russian scientist PY Saraev who bred for light frost tolerance in the seedlings though this is said to be an epigenetic trait that requires conditioning from generation to generation. It is otherwise a nice tomato. A medium-sized light red slicer with a good sweet flavor. My bushes were loaded and it seems to have some keeping qualities as it will last much longer than many heirlooms after picking. Also, I saw Premus mentioned by another poster. It's an ultra-early, compact, 14-16 inch dwarf of Soviet breeding with 2 inch red fruit that I've been maintaining for the last 30 years and would be happy to answer any questions either here or via PM.

Hi [mention]OhioGardener[/mention] , I just saw this post and wanted to let you know that I am growing "Premus" this year. My mom is staying with me a while due to Covid (she normally lives out of state with my sister, but my sister is a teacher and the covid exposure was too great so we moved her up here with me), and she's been helping me with seeds and growing a bit. Lifelong gardener but now her mobility is an issue. At the suggestion of [mention]HL2601[/mention] I decided to grow a micro that she can have in a container on my back deck, easily accessible for her. We went through several micro seeds and she selected your "Premus," I think because the seed package included such a detailed amount of information. Like me, she likes understanding what she's growing. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that we are both looking forward to seeing how they do!

I did trellis Mitchell Family Cream Pea. It gets about 5ft tall, and was very productive for me.

I may have given you F5 or F6 seed, which is not entirely stable. Most of my named varieties will sometimes throw off a different leaf type, and sometimes a pink will produce a red or a red will produce a pink. I hope you keep it going. I could use another PL heart, if that's what the fruit shape turns out to be.

I hope you enjoy them. The seeds were grown out in 2020 by my 81 year old father who has also been having a hard time coping with Covid lifestyle changes. Premus is larger than a micro dwarf, but still very short and compact whether in a pot or in the ground. Please let me know how they do for you and if you like them. I'm in the process right now of potentially donating these to SSE's seed bank so that they can hopefully become more widely available for small space gardening.

Indeterminate, RL, red, heart (plump, not skinny), gets to 1 lb (maybe more, for those who may not know that they just might be over-watering).

Have you identified any/all of those Russian/Eastern European varieties you received in the swap, yet?

I haven't been through all of them yet, but I have the names in my tomato spreadsheet and have been linking them up with Russian language descriptions.

I received some Pink Pincess seeds in the swap which I think are a cherry according to what I can find. Half have come up PL and half are RL. So which one is right? I'd like to cull the ones that seem like an obvious cross, but can't seem to find information on the leaf type for this variety.

Thanks [mention]MissS[/mention] ! Since yours were good last year, can you tell me which leaf type they had. I realize it may not correlate, but I have some with one of each type in a cell, so I might as well go with whatever was a good one for you.

I only grew one plant and it was regular leafed. You have both leaf types so why not grow both and see which you like better. I sometimes find that I prefer the PL leafed plants over their RL counterparts.

Delectationoftomatoes lists it. They say bold and balanced. I found it sweet, like almost all hearts I've trialed. A medium-sized pink.
