We are forecast the same weather. Quite a change from now with frost still on roof tops in the mornings.

Re: How's your weather?
It kept raining after I went to bed last night, and finished at .66 for today (after 1.82" yesterday). Still gloomy out, and only 52°, which is supposed to be the high! Now I'll go down and clean up my workshop, after cutting and drilling all that plastic the last couple of days!

Re: How's your weather?
Rain coming into our forecast, about time, we are getting well behind on rainfall. Nothing serious, 3-4 day window for showers. Cool down to follow. Love this time of year!

Re: How's your weather?
Last night the weatherman said we are up to 139 mm for april, where the normal for the whole month is 96 mm. Then it rained all night again.
Yep we are sick of it!
Ice is gone but water levels in my 'catchment area' are up a good bit from yesterday. Basically I have two ponds forming along the south and southeast border of the garden, which are thinking about becoming one. This area is normally dry, and I don't see water building up here every year. But when it rains, I'm glad there's a gully to catch it alright!
The record for the whole month of April is 260 mm set back in 1951. Strange consolation for too much rain, if it turns out to be a record.

Lots of thunderstorms here last week and happening right now. Flash flood warning is through Thursday... Just hope the plants are still standing after.

The last week has been almost perfect weather for doing a lot of yard work. Temps in the 60's, dry, and little wind.

Re: How's your weather?
Hot and dry. We've had a few days of 80's and today it might hit 90-92. At 2pm it's 88 so there's a good chance. Front coming through tonight (probably no rain with it) and we'll be back into seasonal 70's again. I will wait until late this evening to plant out the peppers!

Re: How's your weather?
we are in a dreary cycle right now. several days of rain, and not much sun followed by rain, and fog. this morning we woke up
to snow showers. highs for the next few days are only in the 30s to low 40s. lows are below freezing. still too early to do anything
in the garden. wet, humid, and cold. throw another log on the fire would ya.

Ditto with snow on the ground this morning. April is the cruelest month!

Bower I had heard the expression, "April is the cruelest month" before, but didn't realize it was the opening line in T. S. Eliot's famous poem "The Wasteland". Linked below is one persons thoughts on how spring weather can have an effect on our emotional health.

Re: How's your weather?
66F, 19 C here, moisture and a mist in the air. Forecast has it getting to 76 today, but I kind of doubt it unless this little front backs up. April is a beautiful month, nothing to be sad about here at 29 degrees north latitude. April was a lot tougher to deal with in New England. A chill wind would often come off the water and an otherwise promising start to a day would develop into one that was cold, wet and raw. Wet and cold spring weather really seeps into your bones.

Re: How's your weather?
pondgardner I think it's impossible to go through ten days of really dark weather - fog, drizzle, rain, freezing rain....rinse lather repeat - without an effect of some kind on your state of mind. I'm lucky that I don't get melancholy or depressed, but the day the sun comes out it's really obvious what a big effect it has. Suddenly I have all kinds of energy and the gumption to jump into every task and love it. Clouds move in, my energy wanes again.. I am really dragging myself around when there's not enough daylight. It's always light enough if you can get outdoors to do something, but you can't do much if it's raining... This is the April dilemma in the north for sure!

Today is the opposite of yesterday! Nice and cool low/mid 70's with breeze. Still dry, dry dry. We've had 0.08" since March 31.

60, 16C heading for 67, 19C. A few days ahead of slightly below normal temperatures. Slightly below normal here in late April means nice weather. Got a little rain over night, maybe a little more coming today, bring it on.

Bought some fleece to prepare for next week's forecast, expected to get down to 32*F.

Really nice cool down here in Central Texas.
Great weather with a little rain to boot.

I love April in Texas! Cool temps and a bit of rain ( sometimes hail) and the bluebonnets are in bloom. I’ve got to stop and take some pictures. Is it just me or does the color of the knockout roses look just brilliant right now?

Re: How's your weather?
There is a bar that never seems to stay open for long on highway 71 close to Garfield.
Started out as a RUB biker place then a fire hit and it closed.
Then the owners from what I head went to prison for tax evasion.
Then it opens again under new name and the pandemic hit.
As of now it is closed .
Out front there is what seems to be a wonderful row of knockout roses in full bloom.
The highway is covered in bluebonnets
Some city idiot mowed my bluebonnet patch down on the road right before they came into bloom.
My wife and I planted the seeds right before she passed away.
