What has been your most productive tomato?

Hands down and without a doubt for me and our cool nights and hot dry summer days has been Bobcat f1 from Territorial seed. Every plant is consistant in production and tenacity. I swear it was specifically made for our high desert climate.

Awesome. I see it's determinate. How long does it produce? Is it all at once or more like a semi-determinate? How big is the plant?

Its more a semi determinate. Continues to produce from mid summer till frost in late September. Im not saying itll grow in your climate but its a pretty tough plant... it has to be to do good with cool nights, 40's and hot days, 90's and at our elevation of 7000ft. In our short season itll get about 7ft. AND oh my goodness the taste is spectacular. I like it so much i use it for pizza sauce. I like it much better than romas but it does take alot more time to reduce it but its way worth it.

7000ft! When you say high desert, you really mean high.

It's always great to learn about new high elevation tomatoes. [mention]Tormato[/mention] might like to know about it, as I think he sent me a number of high elevation tomatoes once.

I was hoping it would produce all season; those types tend to do a lot better in my garden.

It would definitely be worth a try. Ive searched more than 30 years for some tomato that could withstand our cold nights. Its not unusual for it to get down to the upper 30s even in June. Oregon Spring which was developed for cold climates was so so here but I believe it may have been just a seed quality issue as it was a Ferry Morris seed and who knows where they get their seeds from?!?!?

Black plum is fairly cold resistant and I think there are some unique genes in it. It's the only tomato I've grown that doesn't become purple-ish in cold weather as a seedling. I think there are variations going around, mine was never pear shaped like I see sometimes, but really quite oval.

Red Lithium hands down. I also grow KBX every year, because it's my favorite tomato for a BLT.
