A big thank you should go out to @Rajun Gardener for the new updated software and improvements recently to the site. Unfortunately, a few posts that were made during the transition may have been lost, but hopefully things are running smoothly now. If there are questions or concerns, contact any member of the-team.html

I never thought about it before but that white printing does make the banners more readable.

Hi Jo
After you have marked the ones that you want to delete. You can go to the bottom of the page there is a box that says Mark/unmask as important, if you click on that it will give you the choice to change it to Delete marked. After that right next to it, it says Go if you click on that it will delete the ones you marked. Hope this helps you. Mike

@joparrott my Dad had macular degeneration and making fonts larger really helped him.

You can customize this on your own PC as described in the vision disabilities thread discussing this.

Jo they way that I manage my notifications is to just pay attention to those that have a dot in the right hand corner of the notification. Those with the dot are the ones that I have not looked at. Once read or chosen to mark as read the dot is gone and it is no longer important and I just ignore them. I leave my list because sometimes there is something that I would like to go back to and check and having the list makes it easier for me than doing a search.

Thanks, Patti- but there are no dots- I get duplicate notifications too! I'm just being a big nuisance so I will just deal with things as they are and read and post the best I can! I don't want to stress or cause others to either! Thanks again---I'm
going outsifde and do some cleanup- pulling cucumber plants, etc and get ready for frost which will be ghere any day!

@joparrott Please continue to post. You are definitely not a nuisance. Sometimes things have to be answered in more than one way. I am guilty of not understanding simple things as well as not being able to explain things clearly to others. If you try something and it doesn't work for you post again and perhaps someone else will chime in. Screen captures can be very helpful.

I am not sure I understand the situation. Are you referring to the drop down list of notifications. I do look a that list which helps me keep up with some things. I know that if I click on one it seems to disappear at least by the next time that I refresh.

Is this what you are referring to?

You don't need to delete notifications, usually (when you click on them and go to them, they disappear, gradually). If you don't want to go to them there's a link to clear them all at once that appears entitled 'Mark all read' (as seen in the image Rajun_Gardener has in a previous post in this thread) when you click the bell-shaped icon.

Notifications help you know when people are talking to you in forum posts, when they react to your posts, and when people post in forums or threads that you've subscribed to. I recommend giving them another chance before you get rid of them! If you get email notifications, too, they can seem redundant, though.

Are the duplicates PMs? Those show up in both notification areas.

Notifications are good because they notify you when someone "tags" you in a posting.

However didn't we used to have an option to "delete notifications" at the top of the notifications drop down box? It seems to be gone.

I always deleted notifications after I had read them but now I can't do that.

brownrexx, that is exactly what I am referrig to- I would like the notifications to disappear after I read them, but they do not.
