Shipping Problems

Well I’ve had really good experience with the seed vendors until now. Even during the Coof the seed companies would be very upfront about any possible delays, but I’m having a dickens of a time on my last order from seeds n such. I don’t think it is the seed vendor at fault. Supposedly UPS has sent it to the post office to deliver and the post office claims it doesn’t have it yet. I suspect we’ll be seeing more of this starting. May have to start paying for shipping insurance, but that would probably mean paying more for shipping than I do for the seeds! LoL Anyone else experiencing shipping problems from the seed companies? I’m taking stock on what I’ve got and am going to hold off ordering any more. It’s just so hard when I see something cool I want to try. 😁

I had one packet of seeds never show up this year and it was coming from overseas so I just assumed it was lost in transit. But I have seen very long delays with the UPS to USPS with yarn and other hobby shipments...

In a couple of months, I should know if the ship hits the fan.

Anecdotes:
I shipped a package with UPS that got there the next day (only 60 miles away).
I’ve ordered 2 or 3 things that were shipped via FedEx, which has a tracking website. They all came from across the country in a few days, then took another week or two to get delivered. I’ve heard others speculate that items get put on the truck, but the truck doesn’t get this far, so stuff is held over another day, etc.

I've gotten 3 seeds orders recently, all came through the USPS, and all came shortly after shipping - 2 to 4 days from when they were shipped. Baker Creek took the longest to send, after ordering, but still nothing too long.

I ordered seeds some weeks ago or so (three small orders; three different places). There were no issues with shipping.

That's no fun at all if it doesn't show up.

Come to think of it I haven't seen a FedEx or UPS truck in my neighborhood in days maybe weeks.
Used to be every day.

I have been ordering seeds and they have been arriving just fine. I have even placed and received 2 orders from across the pond without issue and very timely.

Just an update, I finally got my seed order. Hope it was just a one-off issue with the post office. I contacted seeds n such and their customer service was great and they even offered to send a 2nd order if I didn’t get it. Alls well that ends well. 🙂

I order seeds from Johnny's last Sunday / Monday and they were delivered Thursday. It was USPS.
