Select an Avatar picture

That has been a difficult thing for me. Every picture I have taken brings back so many memories... So many pictures of gardens, and support of a man with cancer, and so much more.

I did find one that brings back a memory of a science fiction movie that I really liked. It doesn't say anything about me other than I liked that movie.

I know. I alternated between many choices before sticking with a tomato from 3 seasons ago.

An avatar can say whatever you want it to say about you. Can be deep, can be silly. When you look at other people's avatars, which ones do you like, and why?

This is a very appropriate thread, Robert...an avatar is a visual representation of yourself so it should say something about you. Make it personal...mine is tied in with my interest in koi, other avatars have shown my favorite college football team banner, favorite flowers, or a favorite picture of your area. Others have a photo of their favorite pets, cars or even food. There is no limit to what you can choose from. And as your interests change, so could your avatar.

Keep looking & you'll find one you like Robert. For my gardening interest websites I've chosen to use a pic from our farm in/from the Ohio valley. Other websites I use different ones.

You can change it any time you find something you like better, or any time you get tired of it.

Mine is tied to my current clumsiness.
I didn't select one with a peg leg, or one with Tick-Tock in a Lego scene. ;)

I am known for changing my outfit all of the time. The one I currently have was given to me by my daughter after Tormato objected to my Tomato Baby.

My monitor stopped working yesterday. It lasted 10-12 years, so it was time. I replaced it with one I had stored away in the barn of no return. It's even older than the one that went out  Anyway, it is working so I will continue my search for an avatar.

Okay, I got it to work. The picture is of Texas Star wildflowers. These grow all over our property, and I do love flowers and nature. Here is a picture link https://www.google.com/search?q=Texas+S ... 52&bih=605

I suppose I should pick a new avi to start fresh, since this is a new board, but I'm kind of wedded to the one I've had since the beginning of Tville. It's an Ernesto tomato with small jalapeno eyes. I tend to scan threads for posters I particularly enjoy reading, and looking for familiar avi's is speedy. I always wondered what Bower 's previous avatar was, and kept meaning to ask -- it looked like a Christmas ornament to me, but probably wasn't!

I really like your av. I hope you keep it, but that is up to you.

I didn't want to use my tabasco av because I don't grow them anymore. Our eldest son had a job where a lot of his coworkers enjoyed fresh tabasco peppers but couldn't find them in the grocery stores - so I grew them. We also taught them how to grow them themselves.

Salt, that's a great choice of avatar. :) I really loved your thread about wildflowers. I hope you're seeing signs of spring in your garden soon!

ddsack I love your tomatovatar! My old one was a tomato with a bell for a hat. I know what you mean about getting used to someones avatar, and makes them easy to find. But i felt like a change, and so I'll stick with this one... for awhile. ;)

I don't take a lot of tomato pictures so when I joined TV I felt that I needed a tomato picture. I had this one showing how many tomatoes I had picked in one day so I have been using that one ever since. I only grow about 15 plants, not hundreds like some of you so this was a big harvest for me.

My avatar on other sites shows me with a horse because riding horseback is something that I enjoy doing.

I was one of several that objected to it. Thanks for the reminder. I just might have a nightmare, tonight.
