Re: BLEACH SPRAY AS PREVENTATIVE?
The best discussion on use of bleach spray is over at Tomatoville, if you have access there. Not sure this link will work, and it may be blocked from here. http://www.tomatoville.com/showthread.p ... each+spray Bill, B54red is a gentleman from Alabama who manages to grow tomatoes all summer in often too hot and humid conditions. He has worked up formulas that work for him, and there is a lot of discussion there. He has used his methods and shared them on Tville for many years.
In using bleach spray, it appears that you have to accept that you may lose some normal looking leaves, which have been already infected with fungus but do not show visual damage yet. Bill does say that he uses it as a preventative, but as it only kills existing spores on the leaves it must be reapplied regularly.

Probably not that different from using a hydrogen peroxide spray as a preventative.

Thank you both for your responses. I will look for the link as well as information on Hydrogen Peroxide

Re: BLEACH SPRAY AS PREVENTATIVE?
Bleach spray is not a preventative but if used regularly can kill the pathogens before they become a problem. Bleach spray is only effective while it is wet. It will kill the spores and then Bill will use something like Daconil or Copper as a preventative. He rotates between the two sprays to keep his disease pressure down.
