nitrogen lush advantage
I have 2 tomato plants at an alternate site that I planted in May that just started getting blossoms a few weeks ago.
The plants are lush green much better than my garden plants. They are in a spot that only gets morning sun till around noon.
So things may have worked out good for those 2 during the drought and heatwave.
I may actually have the plants until frost gets them.
They were heirloom plants from a neighbor he had been growing for decades.
All other recipients of plants and even the original donor had tales of woe this year.

Tales of Woe. Can I use that for a new tomato name, down the road?slugworth wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 1:42 pm I have 2 tomato plants at an alternate site that I planted in May that just started getting blossoms a few weeks ago.

Wednesday's child
Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace.
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go.
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living.
And the child born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe, good and gay.

Re: nitrogen lush advantage
Where does the nitrogren part play into it? Did you give it a lot of nitrogren fertilizer?
I think Morning sun until about highsun and then shade afterward is about perfect during the long hot summer days. I have yet to find a garden spot that has that, though.

Re: nitrogen lush advantage
it was in a flower bed that never had added fertilizer
just mulch the past 2 years.
even my regular garden had plants with no blossoms just inches away from plants that were normal.
I know a lot of people that have plants on the east or north side of the house.
