Hello from So Cal
Hi everyone!
I’m nagi... I used to be in the Garden Web tomato forum waaaay long time ago. Dropped out as life got busy.....was a lurker on Tomatoville... started lurking here but decided to introduce myself and try to be more active.
As for my Hubs and I, we are working on a guacamole garden...
avocados, tomatoes, and chiles as well as a regular garden. Since moving to the Inland Empire we have had to change our game...it’s so hot out here. One year the 90+ degree weather started in March and didn’t let up til near October. Mother Nature is a strict teacher! So, though we love late season tomatoes, we are also looking at cold tolerant varieties to grow through winter, earlies for Spring, dwarves for patio and microdwarves for indoors. This year we will experiment with shade cloth, hills and deep mulch, heatset varieties, interplanting, etc. Lots to learn!

Hi Nagi and welcome to the Junction. I so glad that you decided to join us. A guacamole garden sounds like a whole lot of fun and really good to eat too. I'm sure that you will learn a lot about gardening in your new location. Come on in and have fun.

Welcome to the junction, I had to look up where the Inland Empire was. I have been out to San Diego twice but had never heard of it. Good luck growing in your new location.
