It is currently 53 degrees, the wind has died down, I uncovered the beans to see how they look and noticed that all of them have their newest leaves on them so I am thinking if the newest leaves survived this horrible wind and cold I might have saved them by finally covering them last evening. I gave them all a drink and will see how it goes. I left the covers out there if I need to recover them later, for now it looks good on wind only ranging from 5-10 mph. Tomorrow will be high 50's and low wind also.

59° here at 5pm, sun is out. Garden looks good. The tomatoes, though, I’m sure will appreciate the warm up coming this week starting tomorrow.

We aren’t really warming up here until Wednesday, but then it’s right back to high 80’s. These yo-yos are driving me crazy.

It's a beautiful crystal clear day but at 11am it's 42 with a 12 mph wind from the north east, making it a 35 degree chill factor. I was going to prep an area for plantings snow and sugar snap peas this morning but that's NOT going to happen right now. It's not THAT urgent of a task. One more morning of 29 and frost tomorrow before the weather turns completely around and warm weather moves in. Can you say " yo yo"? More like weather whiplash!

Westerly gale here today and tonight gusting 100 kph. A few sunny breaks this morning, a few flurries this afternoon.
Peak wind speeds this afternoon are actually veering SW, this is good news as it will blow ice jams out of the bays. Maybe not for long but it's a start...

@rxkeith glad you're feeling better but sometimes it's okay to just give up on the snow. Stick the car further out. At least I did, and I'm living with that. At some point it'll soften up and I'll get it cleared up in smaller bites. It's not worth it to do yourself harm!

It was 42° at 11 am - 12° above yesterday, at the same time. Low 50s forecast for today - about average, for this date - and later in the week into the 60s. Getting more like spring now, starting later today!

Currently 60 degrees with winds around 110 mph, not a bad day to wake up to. I'll head out to the garden a bit later.

Currently it is 64 degrees with a high of around 70 degrees today Between 1 and 3 we should get a bit of rain. We had a small amount last evening but not enough to even measure on the rain gauge. Cloudy today, as it was yesterday.

64°F, 18°C at 05:45. Nothing in the forecast under 60° or over 82° until next Tuesday when we get another brief minor cool down with one night below 60°. The vast majority of my 27 tomato plants are all blooming so I foresee plenty of fruit setting in the week ahead. After the one night getting to 53°, there’s nothing over 80° or under 59° for the following week. Seems like nearly ideal tomato weather.

Got to 62° here today, and a little windy, but not like it has been. The sun was out from early on, and it was really nice out there. Supposed to get down into the high 30s, and nowhere is there any low forecast even close to freezing - the reason I turned my water on, and put my rain gauge out. If it freezes again, I'll bring that inside again, and drain the pipes again!

Good morning, it's a beautiful sun shiny day and was nice to step out int it. It is currently 77 degrees and 7 mph winds, although that is my personal weather station out here the computer tells me it is 72 degrees and 15 mph winds. It didn't feel like such a high wind when I was out there so I am going to stick to my personal weather station readings on temp and wind.

Temperature is just below freezing and it has been snowing for 24 hours. Wind is now picking up and temperature will drop, while it will stop snowing. Snowbanks on our yard are getting high, so it will take long time for that to melt.

Forecast for the next week is cooler than normal and night time temperatures may go below -10°C/14°F. Spring is not in the air here. :(

I don't know how anyone can stand that cold and snow for so long. I would be out of there before the snow hit lol. My toes don't like the cold.

In a snap the weather has changed from freezing mornings to heat. Today and the following three days will see highs of 83, 88, 81, 81 and lows in upper 50's. And so it goes.

We're in the same boat, @svalli. Even with a couple of partly sunny days this week, the snow is still waist deep in my garden and my long driveway is still jammed. I went out yesterday when the temperature was (supposedly) above freezing to see if I could move any of that old snow. I was able to scrape a few inches from the top, which was like wet, heavy sand. The snow underneath that is like granite.
This morning I woke up to find at least 10 cm of fresh snow, and still coming down. Forecaster saying "light snowshower" since about 8 hours ago overnight, as if that will make up for missing this completely in the forecast. And we have a major storm coming tomorrow afternoon through saturday, with over 30 cm expected. After that, smaller amounts of "snow or rain" with daytime highs near freezing, which will make it worse.
So I won't be seeing any bare ground in March this year, not even in my driveway!

71°F , 22°C. Dewpoint 66°. Gulf of Mexico Maritime air layer dominates until late tomorrow when some dry Chihuahuan desert air filters in for the weekend. Temperatures to remain tomato friendly.
