It is incredibly sunny today - not a hint of any clouds in the sky! Been a while since I saw that, and it was only brief! That TS that came through last night finished quickly, with .32". As forecast, it is very windy, so the 60° expected won't be feeling like that!

Sounds delightful to me @pepperhead212 . :)
I am done digging out. I managed to get an hour in yesterday evening, so two more hours today including clearing the car, for a total of 3 hours to get outable. More snow down now than any time the winter. I sure hope we're done!

A line of storms kept coming through here all morning and keeping the weather alert thing going. We were very fortunate to have been on the southernmost edge of that mess. Still, we got 1 " of rain. It's partly cloudy this afternoon with the possibility of more storms moving through tonight in the wee hours.

Today our weather was simply beautiful, like it didn't try to kill us yesterday! Sun was shining with bright blue skies and big fluffy white clouds!

Very wet. It rained all night and there's more to come. 2" in the gauge this morning. Some areas 15 miles north of here have gotten 5". By now every pond in the area should be full. It's been a long time.

Wish we were getting a bit of rain. Hot and dry here, and having to water sections of the garden each day.

Here it is typical April weather, a fast change between sun, blue sky and snowstorm. Had both already four times today, now it is back to sunshine :)

It got to 65° today, with sun, until about 2:30 pm, and it started getting very dark, and raining about 2:45, so I had to come back inside. Sun came out again briefly, and about 5:15 the rain started again. Only up to .12", but still raining. Not supposed to rain again until next Friday, but much cooler forecast, until Friday, and Saturday could be our first 70° day of the season.

We ended up with 3.4" of rain. Areas 15 miles north got a lot more. The open area below the raised beds has standing water again so no initial groundbreaking for corn rows there for a while.

Fog started forming over the pastures late yesterday afternoon as the cold front moved through. Strange to see it at that time of day! Thick fog everywhere this morning. Possible showers this afternoon as a second cold front moves through. Cooler temps for a few days but perfect for brassicas.

Storm rolled through here last night. Lots of bark in the way of thunder and lightning, but not might bite, maybe 6/10” of rain fell. Welcomed rain, been dry here. Heading for 77°for the high and 59° tomorrow at dawn. 70° Wednesday, 77° Thursday for highs.

Not sure, let me check in with the geoengineers first, the stratospheric aerosol injections and sun-dimming spraying in the sky have been pretty heavy handed lately. Have barely seen sunshine in the last 90 days, it's THAT bad. Wild temperature swings from 70 one day to 30 the next are not normal on this planet.

Woohoo! Third day of sunshine in a row here . :) Greenhouse over 80 F, broccoli not liking it but everything else is taking it in stride. Real temperature outside not a big lot over freezing but getting up into the 40's F today/ 4 C.
The sunshine on this frozen snow has created an effect I've never seen before... that is besides revealing many hollows and drifts that were not apparent, the texture of the surface snow is like animal fur... it's like a polar bear. Really hard to get a pic of the bright white stuff, but maybe you'll get my drift. ;)

Right on a boundary here, moist Gulf of Mexico air on one side, dry Continental air on the other. I think the GOM is winning. Some rumblings of thunder. 79°. Much warmer in the dry air 40 miles to the north where it is close to 90°.

A quick moving thunderstorm, at 55 mph, is moving through here, right now.

I was just on the phone with my cousin, to see how she was faring, as there were tornado warnings N of Philly. The temperature here dropped quickly, about 8°, in 30 min., with more to come. Seems the worst is going N of me, and earlier South, in DE, but the worst in this area hasn't come yet, as it is just crossing the DE river.

And at 7:15 it was over me, while I was talking to her - hail, but only the 1/4" stuff, not the golf ball or quarter sized, they were talking about in the worst areas. In 15 min the rain gauge went from .27" to .71". My cousin, who lives N of Philly, was in the bad zone, with a tornado warning, but she was spared, though she got the bad hail. While I was on the phone with her, it stopped up there, but started here. Now, in 30 min, it is already at the Jersey shore, the line is moving so fast.

I hope everyone was spared the brunt of these storms, wherever you are!

Had another .7" of rain around noon as another storm line came through. Heading into highs of upper 70's-mid 80's with the possibility of more rain mid week. This has been a very wet spring. I'll have to finish March weather data inputs to see where this spring ranks in wetness.

Today's April 2 forecast (NWS) - 70% chance of severe thunderstorms with tornado possibilities and heavy hail. Otherwise, a high fire danger. I wish I could be a weather man. (I wrote "Man" because I was born male) I apologize if that offended anyone.
