I recall one of our grower friends at T'ville from MS used and swore by the horsetail tea. That is for silica afaik.

I tried aspirin spray this year. Only one time. I did notice a difference on pole beans of all things. I have a large flat trellis, maybe 10 feet long or longer.
Sprayed on 1/2. They still all got diseased but the aspirin side was slightly greener, looked better (despite the diseased leaves) for just a little while longer. I was actually surprised. Didn’t get a pic. Half the thing came down in big wind.

That's the reason why I added it to the hydroponics, and since I had it for that, I started using it for my seedlings. A very small amount is needed - only 2 ml/gal, which is less than 1/2 tsp! The first year I tried it, I was convinced that it worked, as the tomatillo seedlings, which always needed staking in the pots, were as thick and strong as tomatoes! They had been notorious for having weak stalks, and breaking, so I always grew extras.
