It was a tasty and good growing plant in the community gardens, but suddenly it got to curling in on it's self and died, in the midst of several other healthy summer squash plants. Very odd. he fruit was good though.
Together, trees make an ecosystem that tempers the extremes of heat & cold, stores lots of water, & makes a lot of humidity. In this environment, trees can live to be very old. To get to this point, the community must remain intact no matter what.

Tomato decisions are still up in the air. As of now, here's what the possibles look like, with new-to-me having (N) behind the name:

Bella Rosa
Camp Joy Cherry (N)
Creole Original
Early Annie (N)
Early Girl Bush
Golden Girl
Mom's Paste (N)
Porter (N)
Rebel Yell (N) How can someone in Georgia NOT try it. Yeeee haaaaaaawww!
Red Siberian
Rio Grande
Santiago (N)
Stump of the World
Super Sioux (N)
Ten Fingers Of Naples (N)

Other stuff: Bush beans, maybe a pole bean, more broccoli, more cabbage, carrots, collards, sweet corn and popcorn, cukes, eggplant, kale, okra, more scallions, sweet peaqs, field peas, peppers, potatoes, Roselle, straightneck squash, spaghetti squash, sweet potatoes, more turnips, watermelon. Fall-planted onions and garlic will be pulled and Jerusalem artichokes will be planted for the duration.

This year's toy will be the zuchetta rampicante, also known as tromboncino. And one or two toys that are undecided yet.

Wow, GoDawgs , you grow about everything!! I can barely keep up with just my tomatoes and peppers...I'm also growing Rebel Yell and Stump of the World in 2020. Good to see you here at The Junction!!
I have 2 seasons: Tomato and pepper season, and BAMA Football season!

I'm going to plant the roselle ith the okras in front, since both are also pretty. I usually tuck a couple sunflowers in that group as for some reason, sunflowers make me laugh to see them. They are so bold!

I want to revisit some favorite variety that I haven't grew for a few years. I don't grew much new variety these days.

Preliminary list:

Beefsteak/Raised beds:
Brandywine Cowlick's (was prolific last year)
Green Giant (my all time favorite variety)
Mega Marv (2 plants)
Orange Russian 117
Paul Robeson (sentimental)

Containers:
Anasazi (kumato alternative, this time forced multi-stem to make more prolific)
Coastal Pride Orange (dwarf, sentimental)
Copper River (prolific semi-dwarf)
Opalka (will start 2 weeks earlier than other seeds due to slow growth habit, superb texture)
Unknown prolific beefsteak
Zapotec (I like the shape)

Cherries:
Black Cherry (in native soil, single stem)
Rapunzel F1 (in native soil, single stem)
Blush
Lemon Drop (Sungold alternative)
Pink Bumble Bee (large 1.25 - 1.5inch fruits, crossed?)
Sunrise Bumble Bee

Micro:
DanFolette's Picolo Gato F7

No more tomato growing in Earthbox next year. I will dedicate them for my Tokyo Bekana mustard and other brassicas, I couldn't grow it in the ground last year due to too much slugs.

I do not want to make a detailed list of all varieties, because without comment in those varieties probably no one knows (at least I have a problem). Therefore, I will mention only the new, perhaps interesting:
I will complement the Spanish steaks with the varieties sent to me by Moshou-Gordo Extremeňo, Muchamiel and Rosa de Barbastro. Of the other seeds he sent me, I'll try Mom's Heart (the only new heart for 2020) and Timpure de Tiganesi. I will also try to germinate old seeds of Runicul Ludovic and Cernet.
I will expand the cultivation of Fred Hempel varieties with other varieties, so in 2020 I will grow:
Talves F1, Green Bee F1, Madera F1, Lucky Agi F1 and OP varieties - Creamsicle Grape and Marzano Fire (the only new variety for sauces and drying).
I mustn't forget about Dr Carolyn cherry (from Lotte)
From my best friend Robert (RJGlew), I will soon get seeds of Blush, Dikovinka, Early Doll F1, Pretty in Pink F1, Sunchocola F1 and Sunorange F1
Behind the window are growing seedlings of varieties of determinant tomatoes for hotbeds (among them about 8 varieties from Tormato from MMMM 2018)
As for the other vegetables I will grow as usual: kohlrabi, early salads, radishes, peas, potatoes (also from TPS sent by Rajun Gardner- thanks), a lot of aubergines and ochers (thanks for Brynn- MdTNGrdner seeds), bush beans, Hungarian Lima and mainly the Greek Gigantes (Fazoleus coccineus). I hope I didn't forget anything.
At the moment, my wife and I are not having a nice Christmas time. On Saturday I buried our beloved Tess (my avatar) in the garden and now I sit here and when I remember her I cry.
Because I have found many good and naughty friends on Tomatoville and I don't know who will be where in the future, I stay on both Tomataoville.com and Tomatojunction.com. I think it will be possible in the future.

Sorry you lost your Tess, it's hard and even more so at this time of year. I hope the good memories will come forward to make you able to smile at them soon.

Hey Vladimir, I am so so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved pet. I know exactly how you feel. I know it is hard now, and only with time it will heal the pain. Hang in there.

My heart goes out to you Vladimir.

A year ago I lost my beloved Jasmine suddenly, just after the holiday. I had just moved to my new home and the garden was for her.

I didn't know it was the start of the saddest year of my life, to be capped by the loss of my father in August and my mother in November. I am not feeling any Christmas spirit this year. All I want to do is get into my garden and make things come to life again.

Thank you Nan. Didn't mean to hijack, just wanted Vladimir to know I am with him.

Here is my current grow list for 2020. I will grow in Earthboxes over pavement at our shop and in ground in my back yard.

Barlow Jap
Tundra (hopefully will be getting seeds!)
San Marzano Calabria x 2 (from a friend, best version of SM I have ever grown)
Curtis Cheek
Rebel Yell
Rose de Berne
1884
Earl’s Faux
Climbing Trip L Crop
Amish Paste
Novikov’s Giant 10
African Queen
Prue

Ambrosia Orange UBX
Apricot Brandywine
Dr Wyche
Pineapple Pig
KBX
Jan’s Cherry
Russian Persimmon
Nizami
Midnight Sun
Mennonite Orange

Arbuznyi
Mochasplash
Big Cheef
Cherokee Carbon
GGWT
Polaris
Dikovinka

Jen’s Mystery (gifted through a friend from an acquaintance of hers. No idea what tomato this really is or should be. I got prolific BER resistant blacks last year, though the description from my friend sounded like it should have looked like Ananas Noire, hence the side by side grow out this year).

Taiga
Karma Miracle (hopefully will be getting seeds!)
True Colours

Trying to squeeze in:
Pomodoro Sorrento Selection
Olive Hill

@JosephineRose You have a wonderful line up this year. That ought to keep you busy growing them in earthboxes.

Vladimir I am so very sorry to hear this news. I know this pain too well...

I try very hard not to look at a single tomato seed all of February into March. Only then do I start to loosely plan my yearly disaster.
