I'm a huge fan. We used to have the calendars as well as the books. Cartoon a day!

I just did a head count.. I can see 31 of those calendar pages from where I'm sitting now, tacked on the office wall.

Back when the newspapers were still running the cartoons, I would cut out the best and attach them to the wrappings of birthday and Christmas packages. They were so good I just had to share. My family knows I am always on the animal's side of things.
Nowadays I enjoy the Tundra and Close to Home cartoons.

As a devout Far Side fan I just could not resist posting this. Reminds me when we used to invite some other Finns to Thanksgiving dinner and we were bunch of legal aliens
I wish you all have nice Thanksgiving!

As a teen, I used to wrap Christmas gifts in the "funny pages".ddsack wrote: ↑Sun Dec 22, 2019 10:20 am Back when the newspapers were still running the cartoons, I would cut out the best and attach them to the wrappings of birthday and Christmas packages. Today, when I get a package in the mail, any newspapers used as padding gets uncrumpled and read.
