Best tomato/foliage year!
Anybody else in the southeast having a great tomato spring? I can't believe we have had almost no foliage or bug issues.....YET. Also the plants are producing great. Already picked about 50lbs from 10 plants. I attribute this years success to lower humidity, and cooler temps. Have hardly even seen a leaf miner.

Daytime temps here in N. Florida have been pretty hot but nighttime temps on the cooler side. May was less humid than April but I still have some blight around. I also didn’t see leaf miner damage this year.

I cannot say the same unfortunately. Two of the tomatoes got verticillium wilt - a purple hirsutum and the big beef. The sungolds and sweet millions are doing OK but definitely got yellowing/spotty leaves. No leaf miner damage or bugs yet though the bugs usually comes in July for me.

So far, so good. The plants look great, are full of flowers and there are baby tomatoes forming. We had that terrible hot streak but it seems there's been no harm, no foul. The tomatoes and everything else are loving this cooler weather. It's been fairly dry, both rain and humidity wise so there have been few signs of funk so far.
