Re: Greetings from Southeastern PA
Thank you all for the warm welcome...
Long time ago I eliminated lawn and grass from the property...Only a grass strip out front at sidewalk...Have a 20' x 20' rabbit guard fenced veggie garden in the back and the rest of the yard is all wood chipped...Small slope down the back terraced with wooden beams...Paths here and there...Big old Japanese Maple out front... Shrubs, perennials and flowers all over in just about every nook and cranny...Big Pussy Willow and an old Fig tree...
The Pussy Willow came from a cutting from my old next door neighbor's tree, now long gone...both the neighbor and the tree, so that tree is special...
The Fig tree came from a tiny shoot from a tree of an old patient at the Dr's office, probably back in the 70's or 80's...so that's special too...
The yard has evolved over the years so many times...I look at pictures from years ago and it looks completely different now...It's been fun...Hope to keep doin' it 'forever'...
Whwoz ...not sure about the mantis...that's a pic off the internet...
I wanted to use pics I took of mantises in my yard but I can't figure out how to downsize them...I have to work on that...
Tormato ...Always wanted to go tubing on the Brandywine but never did yet...
Hiya brownrexx ...Good to see you too...

Whwoz ...I've tried 'Paint' but when I bring the pixel size down to 120x120, I get this microscopic piece of the original photo undefinable as anything...
They are large close up shots...maybe that's why...I don't know...

ahntjudy I use Flickr and the pictures are automatically sized for forums. It's super easy or you could go to the web and use Photo Sizer. I used that for my avatar.
