Cheese Day!
The Gotch must be getting feeble minded or feeling sickly as I thought that he would be here first thing declaring this magnificent day. Hush, he just slipped up a bit.
HAPPY CHEESE DAY EVERYONE!

That red cheese looks delicious. I'm guessing it has a lot of umami. What kind is it?

Re: Cheese Day!
we used to like eating balderson cheddar cheese. its only available in canada however.
my mother in law lived in port huron right on the border, and cross the blue water bridge
to sarnia. we would have her bring some up when she would come to visit. they made cheese
aged 1 yr, 2 yrs, and 5 yrs. it was good.
one cheese treat to try, just because it sounds so WHAT??? is blue cheese on a slice of salami
on top of a slice of apple. sounds weird, but it works.
yeah, the gotch must have been napping or something.

The Gotch got cheesed off, Ha!!!
I try to always have a couple types of cheese about, and love a good grilled cheese and tomato sandwich.

Re: Cheese Day!
Cheese deserves more than just one day...heck...a week...maybe a month, even.
I think it was @worth1 who said something similar about National Onion Day (viewtopic.php?t=5496&hilit=National+Onion+Day), which you's should note is three (3) weeks from tomorrow. (https://nationaltoday.com/national-onion-day/)

Re: Cheese Day!
Another good tasting grilled cheese sandwich is a switch up on adding very thin cut apple slices in side it, but subbing very thinly cut onion in the grilled cheese. It is tasty that way.

Re: Cheese Day!
I confess I am a cheeseaholic. No budget for fancy cheese, alas, which is crazy expensive here.
House cheese served daily is old white cheddar, either PC Loblaws store brand or (even better) Cracker Barrel. Depending on which is cheaper that day: I have benefitted greatly from the cheese wars.
Recently picked up some PC cheeses which I give a thumbs up: habanero cheddar and jalapeno Monterey Jack.

I can’t believe I missed this. Most likely I did eat cheese that day. Like pretty much every day.

Re: Cheese Day!
I love cheese every day! But... once tomatoes start producing, sour dough bread + tomato + cheese in air fryer is my "morning must sandwich" with coffee. I can't wait! And while any cheese will go with that, I prefer Pepper Jack.
