Southern Night Tomato
Who has grown this "black" variety, and what are your thoughts on it? I now see it listed as indeterminate, but I recall previously seeing it described as determinate. But all of the descriptions agree that it is compact at 4 to 5 ft. I've grown it several times, and I remember it being potato leaved (the first I'd grown) and a heavy producer. I also had trouble telling when it was properly ripe for eating fresh. I have that issue with nearly all very dark tomatoes.

Re: Southern Night Tomato
I grew it. Mine was a brown tomato with PL foliage. My plants were indeterminate. I judge the ripeness of the dark tomatoes by feel. If that does not work for you try waiting for the green shoulders to disappear, but this does not always happen with all dark tomatoes.
