Druzba

Is druzba typically a small plant . I have about 12 heirloom varieties started about 6 weeks ago and my druzba plants are about half as large as any of the other varieties . Is this normal for druzba plants ?? Thanks in advance . BTW , all were started same day , same potting mix , same size pots , kept in same location .

I grew Druzba many years ago. I do not recall it being a small plant at all. My recollection is that it grew to about 6-7'.

Yes MissS is correct. It's a regular leaf indeterminate tomato plant. First year growing this variety. Produces small /smooth red tomatoes. Nice taste but nothing to brag about...other better "red" varieties available, plus the plant did not do well in our humid FL climate. I doubt I will grow it again.

I agree, Druzba is a "regular " sized plant. I grow it every year, and love it! I don't really recall if it a late starter, though. I know that some varieties seem to linger, staying small, until they decide to take off. Matt's Wild Cherry does that - it sprouts and sits there, seemingly not growing, then suddenly becomes a huge, long, lanky plant, spreading every which way. Druzba may do that, but on a lesser scale so I haven't really noticed. Or you may have gotten some wrong seed. Time will tell...

Yeah, not sure what's going on. I grew it once, and it was the same as most, as far as plant size went.
